4.4/5 - (9 votes)

When we talk about online shopping, the first name that strikes our mind is Amazon.

No wonder that Amazon is one of the giants in the eCommerce Industry right now. From a book vendor to an eCommerce giant is a long journey. Amazon has been updating itself every day to offer a great customer service experience.

But recently a question has been searched on google a lot. Why does Amazon asking for payment revision?

Are you facing the same situation?

If you are looking for an answer to the same problem, my friend, you are in the right place. Because today, I am going to discuss the issue here.

As an Amazon user, if you are looking for a solution for this issue, keep tuning till the end of the content.

What is Payment revision needed is all about?

When you are purchasing something from Amazon or any other website, you need to provide your debit/credit card information. If the website cannot charge the billing amount from your card, they will send you an email to change your payment method.

You might get payment revision notifications for two reasons. Firstly, it might be technical issues, or scammers might try to get your information.

Here, I will discuss the solution to these two problems.

How to solve Payment revision problems?

As I have said earlier that, there are two reasons why this problem can occur. The solution is pretty simple. If you follow the step-by-step guideline, hopefully, the problem will be resolved.

So, let’s get into it.

Technical Issues

Technical Issues can cause via Amazon’s website or Bank. It can cause by your mistake as well. Make sure to follow the guidelines:

–         Check the debit/credit card information again

When you face a payment revision issue, the first thing you need to check is your card information. Make sure that the card number, CVV, expiry date are correct.

–         Check the billing Information

After checking your card information, make sure to check your full name, phone number, and billing address. All the information must be associated with your debit/credit card. If any of the information does not match, there is a chance that Amazon can ask for a payment revision.

–         Check credit limit

During shopping, sometimes we forget that the amount might cross our credit/debit card limit. If you are facing a payment revision issue and all the billing information and card information is correct, kindly check your card limit.

–         Talk to the bank

If your card information, credit limit, and billing information have no issue then you need to talk to the bank. If there is any issue from their end, they will solve it for you.

–         Try a different Card

If you have multiple cards, you can try a different card to make a purchase.

–         Talk to Amazon Customer Support

Oh my dear friend, if you still cannot solve your issue, there is only one way out and that is, you need to contact Amazon customer service to resolve this issue. You should do it because there is no human error while giving the payment and billing details, tried multiple cards, and no issue from the bank as well. So, there might be an issue with your account.

As soon as you discuss it with Amazon customer support, they will try to resolve the issue immediately.

Protect from Scammers

Nowadays, we are very busy with our life. When we receive an email for payment revision, or changing passwords, sometimes we don’t even see from where these emails come from.

Let me tell you a short story.

One fine morning I got an email from Facebook that someone is trying to get access to my account and I need to change my password. I was in a rush and I did not check and click the link from my mobile. The link took me to my browser and asks for giving a password. Somehow it makes me suspicious.

I checked the website URL and it was something like “faceboook.com”. Then I checked the sender’s email and it was in a person’s name.

So, the moral of the story is, if you get any kind of email make sure to check the following steps:

–         Check sender email

If you receive any kind of email to change your password or add a new payment method, always make sure to check the sender’s email address very carefully. At a glance, the email might look similar, but they add one or two alphabets in it. So, check it very carefully.

–         Never ever click any link that looks suspicious

Try to avoid clicking on any ads, or a look-alike website that looks suspicious to you. You never know when you become a victim of the scam.

–         Bookmark your important websites

It is better to bookmark all the websites that you use on the daily basis. If you do so, there will be less chance of misspelling while visiting any website that might have your confidential information like password, payment information, etc.

Bottomline

Finally, we are at the end of the content. I would say that asking for payment revisions can happen for any reason. If you follow the steps that I have mentioned earlier, I can assure you that the problem will be resolved.
